Honolulu Goes Farm to Table for 2017

This year, Le Diner en Blanc Honolulu is proud to feature Chef Kevin Hanney of 12th Ave. Grill as our guest chef for the 2017 picnic.
 

12th Ave Grill was established in 2004 by Chef Kevin Hanney to offer guests the chance to experience first-rate, local ingredients in Kaimuki. On October 1, 2013, after nine years of service at the original location, Kevin Hanney and Denise Luke acquired a new space, formerly Victoria Inn, as the second and present home of 12th Ave Grill. Thier current home, although much larger and with an added modern touch, still evokes that family-style feel guests have come to love.

“I would describe what we are doing as ‘Contemporary American Cooking.’ We are creating simple food from scratch that reflects the incredible diversity of American cuisine, including the local fare of Hawaii. We work with the freshest, highest quality ingredients available and use locally grown produce as much as possible. Our menu is dynamic and influenced by the seasons. It is my goal at 12th Ave Grill to create a warm and friendly, but always professional atmosphere where our guests can enjoy great, affordable food. We are happy to welcome you to our family.”

For those looking for a beautiful champagne to enjoy, pick up a bottle of Taittinger in our estore. In addition, we are offering a selection of The Seeker wines to pair with your meal. Please note that there is a limit of one bottle of wine or champagne per person.

Menu Offerings:

The Picnic (Serving for 2)
Start your meal with an Eggplant caviar and focaccia crostini. Then enjoy a fried parmesan crusted Jidori chicken breast, smoked Ho Farms tomato chutney, and Riso pasta salad as your main entree. For dessert, satisfy your sweet tooth with a light apple-salted caramel hand pie.

The BYOB (Bring Your Own Board)
Bring your cutting board for a hearty spread of 12th Avenue Grill's famous Smoked Ahi Spread (3 oz), Port Salute cheese (2 oz), Truffle chicken liver-mushroom pate (3oz), House made pickles, Mini baguette & butter Chocolate Decadence. Perfect to serve and snack while setting up your table.
